Performance Options & Instrumentation: Savior, Lord, and King was originally conceived for SATB choir with piano accompaniment. Optional flute and string parts are provided to enhance color, texture, and brilliance, but the piano accompaniment supplies the harmonic and rhythmic foundation of the work.
The following performance configurations preserve the musical structure and intent of the piece:
- SATB + Piano (minimum complete version)
- SATB + Piano + Any combination of optional instruments (flute, violin, viola, cello)
- SATB + Piano + Violin
- SATB + Piano + Cello
Single-instrument performances without piano accompaniment are not recommended without further adaptation, as the piano provides essential harmonic support.
Optional instruments may be added or omitted based on available resources without compromising the integrity of the work, provided piano accompaniment is included.
