A number of years ago, I decided to learn to play the cello. I found a fantastic cello teacher named Austin and took lessons for a hot minute (two years). During those years I realized three very important things.

1-Playing a string instrument is HARD, y’all! Seriously. I gained such a respect for string players.

2-I realized I was not cut out to play the cello. (insert every invalid excuse *here*).

3-Even though I never excelled at the cello, Austin and I got along great and started playing piano / cello duets together. We were both in our element. We’ve been friends ever since.

(Thanks to Jason Tonioli for letting us record in his studio.)
